Fire Safety Essentials for Fire Warden & Marshal Training Description

This is a 1.5 hour Fire Safety Essentials training course.

This is a shortened version of the 3 hour Fire Warden course.  Additional online fire safety content is available for the staff that require it (this is included in the price). This onsite fire safety course will provide employees and managers with the essential information for compliance with their legal requirements for fire safety in the workplace.

Learners will come away with an understanding of fire risks and threats and be able to apply this knowledge to their specific workplace.

Topics covered during the onsite/face-to-face Fire Safety Essentials training:

  • Role of a Fire Marshall & Fire Warden: Understand the responsibilities and duties of a designated fire Marshal & fire warden.
  • Fire Drills & Evacuation: Understand the importance of drills and safe evacuation procedures.
  • Emergency Plan: Identify how to develop emergency plans.
  • Identifying Workplace Fire Risks & Behaviours: Recognise hazards and unsafe behaviours in the workplace
  • Extinguisher Recognition: Identify different types of fire extinguishers and their meaning
  • Extinguisher Practical: Attendees have the opportunity to discharge extinguishers in a controlled environment. (CO2 and a foam or water fire extingusher) This is an important aspect of this essential fire safety training.
